Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
| TRI/Austin has the capability to design and analyze composte structures using the latest 3D solid modeling and finite element analysis (FEA) software, including SolidWorks, COSMOS and CompositePro software. FEA Analysis incorporates: - Isotropic properties
- Orthotropic properties
- Anisotropic properties
- Multi-layer composites
- Temperature-dependent properties
- Applied forces
- Environmental conditions
- Geometric boundary conditions

TRI is also capable of developing customized tests for new components and materials.
Structural analysis is vital during product development for the evaluation of candidate designs. The analysis determines if the design can meet requirements under the most stringent working conditions.
TRI/Austin engineers are experts at composite structural analysis in-house, using both classical and computational analytical methods. We employ best-in-class computational tools to perform numerical structure analysis, including linear static stress and displacement, buckling, natural frequency, thermal cycling, nonlinear stresses, fatigue cycling, and shell analyses.
In addition, we have developed relationships with key consultants who can provide structural analysis support in more specialized fields, such as the analysis of structures exposed to unusual environments. We recently completed analysis of the implosion composite and metal underwater pressure vessels.
