Title: NDE Scientist/Engineer
Location: Austin, Texas
Description/Requirements: Texas Research Institute in Austin, Texas, anticipates a requirement for two Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) Scientist/Engineers. Responsibilities will include direct project work addressing a broad array of NDE problems for US Federal Agency and commercial customers. Additional responsibilities will include proposal writing, project management, and revenue generation. Prospective candidates should have a background in NDE and familiarity with a variety of different NDE techniques and their applications.
 
The successful candidate will be expected to assist in developing and implementing NDE technologies for commercial and government applications. The candidate must have good communication skills, be a self-starter and enjoy working in a team environment. At least a M.Sc. degree in physics, materials science, mechanical engineering, or aerospace engineering is required. Industrial, federal agency, or military experience is a plus.
 
Strong experimental skills are highly desirable.  
 
Graduate students near the end of their programs are welcome to apply.
